(Received January 0, at 1.15 p.m.) Hundreds of people (including many children) homeless, hungry, and scantily clad, are crowding the relief depots, j where many firms and individuals are I sending gifts of goods and clothing, j Nearly 1,000 homos are uninhabitable owing to water carrying in creosote and tar from the riverside mills. The greater part of the bedding has been ruined. The damage at Bermondsey alone is estimated at £IOO,OOO.
