THE INCURABLES [From Oub Paeliamextart Reporter. j WELLINGTON, November 24. It was suggested by Sir George Hunter in a question in the House to-day that incurable tubercular patients should be allowed to remain in Government sanatoria, and not be removed to public hospitals, as is now the custom. This drew from the Minister of Health (Mr Young) a statement regarding the policy followed in the matter. lie explained, are for the purpose ot treating consumptives who have some prospect of being cured. Hero they aro taught how to take care of themselves, and avoid being a danger to the community. Where a patient is incurable, it is recognised that this involves a liabiltiy on the hospital board of his district. The Minister added that in these matters he must bo, advised by his experts, and he was prepared to consider the point raised to see if something could be done to meet .cases where the circumstances were special.
