When the House of Representatives met this afternoon Mr Atmoro (Nelson), who is not one of the committee appointed to negotiate over the Licensing Bill deadlock, put an urgent question (for the second time this week)' to the Prime Minister, inquiring whether, in view of the general and increasing dissatisfaction with the present position of the Licensing Bill and the widespread desire for an early and authoritative decision as to tho intention of the Government, he would disclose bis intentions? Tho Prime Minister’s opening statement was emphatic: “In reply to the hon. gentleman No, I will not,” ho said, adding: “I have already referred to tho matter, and 1 have nothing further to add other than that when the negotiations now taking plabo are completed, I shall make a full statcjuegti”.
