KIWI SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Tip? Kiwi Swimming Club’s carnival to-night will commence at 7.30, and a .splendid programme of events has been arranged, including swimming, water polo, diving, /i nd novelty events. Large entries have been received, and some first-class racing should be witnessed. The inter-club relay handicap has drawn seven teams, including two ladies’ teams, and the 100yds men’s handicap is another event with a larger entry than usual. The ladies’ 663yds handicap lias drawn such good swimmers as Misses K. Miller (New Zealand champion), M. Jepson (Otago champion), and V. ilawlctt, and a stirring race is assured In the diving a eonqmtitor will be Boy Calcier, Ne.v Zealand men’s champion, who is in great form at present. A water polo n atrh is being played, and a novelty event will be the great ‘South Pole Expedition,’ which should provide much amusement. In nil 21 events will Ire decided.
