THE AMATEUR STATUS. Prws isiociation—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. November 12. (Received November 14. at 10.30 a.m.) A meeting of representatives of the governing bodies' of amateur sports held at tho invitation of the British Olympic Association adopted tho following resolution unanimously “ First, strongly disapproving of broken time payments j secondly, endorsing the British Olympic Association’s protest, but adding ‘ while it considers the Executimc Committee’s action strongly prejudiced the prestige of tho Olympiad in the world of amateur sport, nevertheless feels that each individual sport is justified in supporting the games so long as the International Federation controlling that sport opposes broken time.’ ”
The meeting further resolved that, in its opinion, the next Olympic Congress should take strong measures to seo that tho control of tho Olympiad is placed in the hands of a committee responsible to Congress itself.
