REDCASTLE CARNIVAL

Tlio Otago School of Dancing’s new playlet, ‘ The Queen of Hearts,’ at the Kedcastle Carnival won the hearty applause of a well-packed house last evening. Based on the delightful old nursery story, it appealed very strongly both to the young and the grown-ups, and, indeed," merited the very complimentary remarks voiced amongst the audience during the interval. The parade of the cards, Queen and ner attendants, Uio Knave and the wee chicks—destined for the Queen’s tarts—evoked the acclamation of one and all. To-night it will be repeated for the first half of the programme, and afterwards Mr A. Vallis _is arranging a programme, in which the St. Joseph’s Choir will take part. The usual merry dance will bo bold iu Victoria. Hall, from 10 onwards. Holders of art union tickets are requested to send,in their returns as soon as possible.
