ARR.LV ED.—November 10. Star IX., wlialo chaser (8.45 a.m.), 222 tons, Mikalscn. from Stewart Island. The Holmdalo clocked at Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon for periodical overhaul. WHALE CHASERS. The Norwegian whale chaser Star IX. arrived at Port Chalmers this morning to take in a supply of fuel oil hom the C. A. Larsen, which arrived at Port Chalmers tin's afternoon from Norway on route to lloss Sou. ktur IX and her sister chaser, which arrived at Stewart Island a few days ago from Norway via Suez, are new vessels ana are fitted to use oil fuel instead of coal. The new chasers, which steamed knots on trial, made passage of 61 days from Sandcfjord (Norway) to Stewart island. They are attached to the Sir James Clark Ross, which leaves Stewart Island at the end of this week lor Ross Sea. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
