'When the Assembly met a group of unemployed shouted from the gallery, asking for work. The proceedings were held up while the police removed them. The scene led to a heated debate in the chamber, during which a number of women interjected from the ladies’ gallery. General uproar followed, and the interjectors wore removed by tbe Ser-geaut-afc-Arms. Apparently it was an organised disturbance. Cabinet has decided that in future no betting will be allowed either on night trotting or mechanical hare racing, or on any other sport conducted at night. HOURS OF SITTINGS. SYDNEY, November 9. (Received November 9, at 11.45 a.m.) Tho Assembly decided to resume afternoon and night sittings only, the hours to he. 2.30 p.m. to 11 p.m., except Fridays, when they will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
