L‘Star’s’ Badjio Service.] A strong north-easterly wind was blowing for the third day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s Spring Alceting, and the weather was inclined to he cold. The sky was overcast, but rain was unlikely. The course was in tiptop order, the sting being out of the ground, owing to the fairly heavy rain last night and on Alonday night. Yet the going was not holding, as the Liecarton course can stand a good deal of rain. His Fxcchmey the GovernorGeneral arrived immediately after the first race.
