Sir, —I notice that last week the committee of the Ratepayers’ Association set up a special committee to call on the city valuer to discuss the question of. rating systems. It appears to mo that to ask Mr Evans to publicly discuss (the interview will presumably bo published) the matter of rating systems is placing him in an unfair position. The only body with which ho can discuss rating for publication is the City Council.—l am, etc..
