Sir Herbert Samuel, a former Liberal Aliuistcr, who was High Commissioner for Palestine from 1920 to 1925, announced to-day that be lias accepted an invitation to stand as parliamentary candidate for the Darwin division of Lancashire. He has recently taken a prominent part with Mr Lloyd George in the new Liberal campaign.
