To remove any false impressions regarding the points ol a Shropshiro sheep, the Shropshire Sheep Rrecders’s Association (England), -gives tho following official description of that breed: “A long, low, deep sheep on short legs with good flesh, dense wool, cherry skin, and nice soft black lace and legs. The covering (wool) on the bead should not he excessive; in fact, a nice covering on (be. poll should suffice, and this applies with even more force to Hie legs. Rone of good quality is essential.”
In its amnia] report as lo Hie ''nine of crop production in 1925, the United States Department of Agriculture estimates that the following percentages of the crops in America were led to animals:—Barley, 75 per cent.; corn, 85 per cent.; grain sorghums, 90 per cent.; oats. 80 per cent.; rye, 20 per cent.; wheat, 6 per cent.; hay, 85 per cent.; forage, 1(H) per cent.; potatoes, 10 per cent.; sweet potatoes, 15 per cent.
