The Government steamer Tntanekai sailed this morning for southern and West Coast lighthouses^ The Katoa is to sail to-night for Timaru, Lyttelton, and Auckland. The Kaikorai, from Newcastle, is duo at Port Chalmers to-morrow morning. The Kahika, which has been delayed at Grcymontli on account ol had weather, is now expected to leave Wellington on Monday for Dunedin direct to load tor Napier and Gisborne. The Waipiala is to leave Auckland on Monday for Wellington, Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Breeze arrived shortly after midnight tlyis morning from Wanganui via uoi-ts. and is to sail to-night for Timarn, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui.

Advice has been received that the tanker Otokia, from Buenos Aires, airived at Colon on Friday, and Iclt on Saturday for San Pedro. The vessel is to load fuel oil there lor Wellington. The steamer Antonio sailed Irom Nauru Island on August 10 with phosphates lor Now Plymouth and Wanganui. She will unload 4,200 tons at New Plymouth and 3,500 tons at Wnnganni. ' The steamer Epsom, on route Irom Juan do Nova, Mozambique Channel, with guano for New Zealand, cleared Dclagoa Bay on August 11 m continuation of her voyage. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahine, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at G. 45 a.m. today, and passengers and mails connected with the 8.50 express. WARNING TO SHIPMASTERS. The lollowing radio has been received by the superintendent ol mercantile marine from the master of the steamer Waipiata“ At 1.42 p.m. on Sunday, Die I.4th instant, in latitude 39deg. 11 min south, longitude. 178 deg 9min east, Portland Island lighthouse bearing south 47 deg west magnetic lo miles, I passed a log about roft, long and 3lt diameter, which would he dangerous to navigation.” PACIFIC COAST CARGO. Following the W r est I slip, which sailed from San Pedro for New Zealand ports on August 7, the American-Australia-Oricnt Line steamer W est Xivaria is to leave Sail Pedro on September 13 lor Auckland, Napier, Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Wanganui. The West Hcnshaw is to sail on October 15 for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, and Nelson. The Boarport is to follow on November 5 for Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin, a week ahead of schedule, m order that she may bring fruits and other Christmas goods for New Zealand. CARGO FROM EAST CANADA. A cable message to the New Zealand Shipping Company reports that the Ribera arrived a,t Cornerbrook on August 10 to load for Now Zealand ports. The vessel is scheduled to leave Montreal on August 24 for Auckland,. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Brisbane, and Sydney. PORT' I’HHE LEAVES MONTEVIDEO. The C. and D. Line has been noliiiod that the Port Pine left Montevideo on August 11 for London, on route irom Wellington. She sailed Irom Wellington on July 21. TAINUI AT COLON. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Tainni is reported' to have readied Cclon on Friday on route Ironq London ami Southampton .to New Zealand. She is due at Wellington to land passengers on September 5. The cargo is for discharge at Port Chalmers and Lyttelton. THE CITY OF BATAVIA. Running under the auspices ol the A. and A. Line, the City of Batavia is reported to have sailed from New York- on Friday, for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Tasmania. She is due at Auckland about about the middle of Septembci.
