WHEAT PRODUCTION. AAIERICAN AND CANADIAN CROP ESTIMATES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, August 10. (Received August 11, at 11.50 a.m.) The Department of Agriculture’s reports indicate that the production of wheat is estimated at 851,145,000 bushels, compared with 833,000,000 bushels in 1926. The condition of the spring wheat on August 1 was 86.4 per cent, of normal, indicating a production of 298,378,1)00 bushels, compared with 205,000,000 bushels last season. The preliminary estimate of winter wheat is estimated at 552,767,000 bushels, compared with 627,000,000 busltels harvested in 192 C. The quality of the winter wheat was 83.5 per cent., ami the average yield per aero fourteen bushes A marked improvement m tlie crop prospects occurred in July, chiefly as the result of a more evenly-distri-buted rainfall. LONDON WHEAT MARKET, LONDON, August 10. (Received August 11, at 10.55 a.m.) Wheat cargoes are quiet, with quotations occasionally 3d to 6d easier. Buyers are awaiting Canadian and American reports. Parcels are quiet, with an occasional decline of 3d. Parcels ex Opawa sold at 53s 9d. Liverpool futures: October, 11s 2}d per cental; December 11s 2d, March Us lid, May 11s.
