Powell (Clyde) Recent arrivals at the Excelsior Hotel include Air B. Martin (Auckland), Mr R. S. Whittaker, Air E, Garrett, Mr B. Brice, Air and Airs L. Dykes (Wellington), Air A. H. Weir (Christchurch). Air R. C. Campbell (Pembroke), Air end Airs F. G. Burnett (Clinton), Air IT. T. Tibbetts (Alexandra). Alessrs R. G. Simmers, W. Bryden, and J. B. Nanson have been nominated by Canterbury College for the Rhodes Scholarship this year.—Christchurch Press Association telegram. Mr and Airs D. Gordon Mitchell left Dunedin by the second express this morning on their way to the Wairarapa district, where they will spend an extended holiday.
