TECHNICAL COLLEGE REPORTS “Judging by tho number of senior pupils leaving the school to take up work, onportunities for employment are not strikingly fervor doav than in other years,” stated the principal (Mr W. G. Aldridge) in his report yesterday to the Board of Management of the King Edward Technical College. The report continued that the usual mid-year examination had been conducted during tho last ten days, and reports Avouhl be sent out to parents before the end of tho month. Attendance at evening classes continued to be satisfactory. Ninety-tAvo iioav students had enrolled during the second terms, and 102_ had ceased to attend since the beginning of the year, so that in general classes had not decreased in size. A deputation from the Painters and Decorators’ Apprenticeship Committee had asked for classes to bo opened in their trades, and it was hoped to do that next term. Letters ivero received from tho Education Department stating that senior free places Avould he made this year under much tho sumo conditions as ruling last year. Free places rvould lie awarded on the recommendation of principals, as avcll as on third-term examinations.
