TAIERI RIVER TRUST
A special meeting of the Taieri River Trust was Field to deal with tenders For I cleaning drains. Mr R. T. Sadd (chairman) presided, and there was a full attendance of members. The Following tenders were received: —Tipper Duck Creek: Dow and Mar- j shall, 4s per chain ; D. Gray, Ts 6d per chain. Loch Katrine drain, from Duck Creek to old plantation, about sixty-five chains: D Gray, 7s (id per chain. From old plantation to Hewitt’s drain; 1). Gray, os per elm in. From Hewitt’s to Allan ton road: D. Gray, 4s Od per chain. To old plantation, about sixtyfive chains; L. Taylor, 11s per chain. From old plantation to Nichol’s bridge: L. Taylor, (is per chain. From Nichol’s bridge to Hewitt’s: L. Taylor. 7s per chain. From Hewitt’s to Allanton road: L. Taylor, 4s per chain. Loch Katrine Drain.—Decided to accept. D. Gray's tender for cleaning Loch Katrine drain at the prices quoted. Upper -Duck Creek.—Decided to accept the tender of Dow and Marshall, at 4s per chain, conditionally on tire work being done within one month. If the tenderers declined to accept on the above-mentioned terms it was decided to do the work by day labor, J. Mann to undertake the work and procure whatever labor he considered necessary.
