CANADA DCATS SOUTH AUCKLAND Tlic Canadian team met the South Auckland team at Hamilton yesterday. Tim weather was line, hut the ground was exceedingly greasy. The game was played in the presence of 5,000 .spectators, and proved a. walk-over for the visitors, who won hy 8 goals to 1. The visitors’ combination was superior in every way. Tho South Auckland men, being drawn from a scattered area, had no chance of playing together. The game was not very inspiring. The Canadians fielded a (strong team, all except one having played in the last test at Wellington. Early in the game Robertson 'He South' Auckland left half) miskieked into his own goal, giving Canada the lead. Shortly afterwards Dftviilson (dipped a nice shot into the net for Canada. Moon kicked a goal for tho home team, smothering the Canadian goalie. Davidson and Turner each added another goal for Canada bclcrc half-time. On resuming the Canadians wore more dangerous, and the South Auckland goalie made some brilliant saves,, being called upon for heavy work, Ifrolly, Archibald, Crawley, and Williams each added goals for Canada, the last three being towards tho end of the game.
