1 It is thought that an electric radiator which had "been left alight was the. cause of a fire in an electrical supply shop in the 'Main North road at 9.42 last night. The shop, which was owned hy Duncan’s estate and occupied by Mr' Potcr M'Gregor, was badly damaged by smoke and heat, while the contents and fittings were severely damaged by fire The shop is insured with the New Zealand insurance Company lor £1 920 and the outbuildings with the same company for £3O, while the contents are insured with the Guardian Company for £270. A malicious false alarm was given yesterday afternoon.
