(Received July 20, at 11 a.m.) The Middle East air route of Imperial Airways, Limited, from Cairo to Basra, has, during its first five months, operated with 100 per cent, efficiency. Every scheduled flight has been carried out without interruption, and there has been a steady growth in the mail matter carried, not only from British firms, but from all- parts of the Continent. The letters carried in January numbered 21,100, and in May 78,100.
