LATE SHIPPING
ARRIVED. —June 22. Anamba, s.s. (1.45 p.m.), 1,835 tons, Paterson, from Bluff. LINER PERSIC SCBAPPED. The White Star steamer Persic, for years a regular trader between Australian ports and Liverpoolhas been sold to the shipbreakers. It is reported that the price paid is £26,00(k She arrived at London on May 26 with general cargo from Australian ports. The Persic was built in 1899, and is a sister ship to the Medic, Runic, Suovic, and Afric, the last-named vessel being lost during the war. WARNING TO MARINERS. The Superintendent of Mercantile Marine advises that the master of the Waipori has reported by radio that the Marotiri light at the Hen and Chickens was out. Repairs to the light will be carried out as semi os possible. The Auckland Harbor Board advises that the red beacon off Narrow Neck has been knocked down, and until it can be re-erected the position is marked by a small red buoy. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
