(Received June 17, at 10.5 a.m.) The steamer Proteus, in tow of the steamer Cross Keys, has arrived in port. The Proteus drifted helplessly with a broken rudder for ten days. Food and water had to be rationed. There is no wireless equipment, and the officers had constantly to mount guard over tho mutinous Chinese crew.
