The first round of match play held this morning iu glorious weather resulted:—Miss Chrystall (Christchurch) heat Miss Upton, 4 and 3; Mrs Deighton heat Mrs liudges, 3 and 2; Miss Culling boat Miss Adams, 6 and 5; Miss Ward (Wellington) beat Miss Hamlin, 1 up; Miss Horton beat Mrs Marshall, 3 and 1; Mrs Grace (Wanganui) beat Mrs Ferguson, 4 and 3; Mrs Weston (Wellington) beat Miss Cooper, 2 and 1.
