(Received June 15, at 1 p.m.) After an all-day conference forty trade unions associated with the engineering industry decided on a ballot of their members as to whether or not the increase of 2s per week which the employers had offered should be accepted. . . , The trades union leaders say they are far from satisfied with the offer, but the masters state that the industry cannot bear a bigger burden.
