GOOD INCREASES

The imports during May increased by £15,186,000, the exports by £17,512,UOO, and the re-exports by £4,818,000. The principal increases were:-—lm-ports: Grain and flour, £2,576,000; rood and drink non-dutiablc £1.279,000, dutiable £1,815,000; oil seeds, £1,092,000; iron and steel manntact n res, £1,268,000. Exports; Coal, £3,015,000; iron and steel manufactures, '£1,025.000; machinery, £1,421,000; cotton and varus manufactures, £2,104,000; woollen and worsted yarns, £1.187.000: and vehicles, £1,176,000.
