EPSOM TRAINING NOTES

[Special to tub ‘ Stab.’]

AUCKLAND, June MTho weather 1 was fine and tho in good order on the outside at Epsom this morning, and many trainers took the opportunity to give their teams hoppled work. A few were asked to go fast, the tasks allotted being mostly of the serviceable order. Gold Jacket, Undo Bert, Respect, Master Councillor, and Gratton Thorpe were sent about two miles at a good sound pace. Gold Jacket and Uncle Bert pleased most. Glandore, Peter Bingen, Western King, anil Jewel Pointer worked a strong two miles. Peter Bingen appeared to bo going best, while Western King also went well. _ . Luvan was going nicely alongside Admiral Lock in a rmi, over ono mile and a-quarter. Nelson Tasker,_ who looks in nice condition, was given sound work, and •also sprinted along tho back a couple of times. . Sebisca, Wimmera King, and Speed King were given several strong rounds. Wimmera King trotted well. Direct Morning paced well over a couple of rounds by himself. Amaris and Charming Pronto were indulged in a good sound workout. Peter M'Kmncy trotted several rounds at a good pace, and wont really well. Dartagnan was on the track, hut was not asked to go _ feist. Ho looks in good racing condition. Most of the local horses appear rather short of work.
