THE FLAG CONTROVERSY. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CAPE TOWN, May 9. The flag conference, which was due to reassemble on Saturday, will not meet, the Minister stating that it can serve no useful purpose. He has received a unanimous reply from the Flag Committee that no design is acceptable without t a complete Union Jack, and no valid reason can be advanced for its exclusion.
