LONDON, May 4. At the wool sales there was a good general selection, and rather a better tone. The opening rates were maintained. New Zealand “ Tepuna ” realised 15d and 14d, and “ Chesterhope ” 20d and 174 d. A.P.A. and ‘Sun’ Cable.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from London, dated May 3:—“The wool sales opened with fair competition, large_ attendance, and indifferent selection, mostly speculators’ wool.
