(Received April 14, at 10.10 a.m.) There were extraordinary scenes in Stockwell street, Glasgow, when a tram collided with a distiller’s lorry, bursting five barrels of whisky. The contents streamed on to the roadway. Scores ol men and women rushed to fill bottles and cans, while others, kneeling, lapped up the whisky, and many soaked and sucked caps and handkerchiefs. — 4 Argus ’ and Sydney ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
