ITALIAN TRIAL
ZANIBONI'S CONFESSION DETERMINED TO SHOOT MUSSOLINI. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, April 12. Tho Rome correspondent of ‘The Times ’ telegraphs that .a dramatic confession by Zaniboni marked the resumption of tho trial. Ho spoke loudly and defiantly, and expressed no regrets. He said ho realised that the Fascist regime was getting stronger, and could be overthrown only by direct action. He had failed to organise direct action, and he decided to act alone. He fixed the date, and bought a rifle with which he practised daily to ensure the killing of Signor Mussolini, “ and I would bavo done so if the police had not arrested me. I do not blame these poor devils,” he said pointing to tho cage. “I alone am responsible.” The bearing was adjourned.—‘ The Times.’
