Amery told the House c.r Commons that 48,608 females over twelve years of ago had migrated to flie dominions last year, of whom 18,668 were over seventeen years of age. Special efforts were being made to acquaint British women with the conditions of migration, also with the opportnities overseas. Assisted passages were now limited to the of nominated migrants and domestics.
