SUPPORT FROM LEVIN [Pur United Press Association.] LEVIN, March 31. A meeting attended by 200 suppliers of tho Levin Dairy Factory, passed tho following Resolution with one dissentient f ‘ That this meeting regrets that a majority of tho members of tho Dairy Produce Control Board allowed themselves to be stampeded by anonymous cablegrams from vested interests. This meeting is also desirous of recording its appreciation of the work d»*io by Messrs Grounds, Bryant, and Thacker on_ behalf of the producers.” The meeting was iTie largest the company has held here.

THE, BOARD’S DECISION. [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 31. “ The decision of the Dairy Produce Control Board to defer consideration of the hoard’s future policy until the June meeting was fully anticipated,” said Mr A. J. Sinclair, who placed the case for the Palmerston North conference before the board yesterday. “It is known,” he said, “that while certain members were not prepared to oppose the compulsory provisions of the Act they were favorable to n further modification of the board’s powers, but they desired consideration of the point deferred until June for two reasons—the return of Messrs torus and Motion from London and the pending elections which would be held in May for three producer members of the board.” Mr Sinclair added that the dairy companies opposing compulsion were now finalising the arrangements to put forward candidates to oppose the three retiring members —Messrs Goodfellow, Forsyth, and Thacker. “ The candidates,” ho said, “ would favor a conservative policy of marketing on lines of the Palmerston North resolutions.''
