BREACH OF MARRIAGE ACT

PALMERSTON N., March SO. Li the Police Court this morning a man, aged 29, whose name was ordered to be suppressed, pleaded guilty to going through the form of marriage at Palmerston North in 1923, having been previously married in Birmingham, England, in 1915. ' The police stated that the accused had not got on 100 well with his wife in England, and he came to New Zealand in 1921. Two years later he went through tho form of marriage at Palmerston North, not letting the second person know that ho was a married man. The accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence, bail being allowed.
