CORRESPONDENCE
SOUTH DUNEDIN DEATNAGE.
So THE EDITOK." • Sir,—-Seeing a letter in Saturday night’s ‘ Stir ’ on the drainage of South -Dunedin, I would ’ike to ask if there is any tray by which We unfortunate people could nut our base Before the City Council. When the city engineers visited my place (when in flood) I was informed that it was surface water only, notwithstanding the fact that you cotild see the water ilpwing'through the neighbors’ property into my own and watch' the vegetables lot in front of your - eyes. The. engineers suggested flUifig up my section, which I have done, and find last week to my surprise another flood from the back street. Since the big flood we bare been flooded twice a ■ year regularly (sometimes more), so vou may guess the state our garden is in. I have been informed that I am draining Kaikorai, and if i could get the City Council to let me put my case before it I think I can prove to it that this is so. Hoping this letter will bring me some redress, as I n<rree with the letter in Saturday nTeht’s paper that things could not be worse than they are from a health point of view,—l am, etc., A Flood Victim. March 20.
