The action has commenced in which Jacob Johnson is claiming £20,000 damages from the Commonwealth Government, the Prime Minister, and vhe Acting Superintendent of the Federal Police Force for alleged wrongful arrest and false imprisonment arising out of the deportation proceedings in 1925. AWARDED £2O. SYDNEY, March 28. By direction of the judge the jury awarded Johnson £2O damages, as the defendants admitted wrongful arrest and detention.
