THE KARNAK ENTERTAINERS
CONCERT, BURNS HALL The Burns Hall was filled on Saturday evening when the Karnak Entertainers, assisted by local artists and champion and Highland dancers, gave a fine concert in aid of the Kaitangata miners. The Mayor (Mr H. L. Tapley, C.M.G., MVP.), who the performance, on behalf ogf the citizens thanked the' performers for their services. The following items were rendered:—Selection by the Highland Pipe Band, opening chorus by Karnak Entertainers, a three-act tragedy by Miss Dorothy Gibb and Messrs Ross Hughes, John Berry, Doug. Greenwood, and Len Dick, a musical comedy entitled ‘ Nine o’clock, 1 Highland fling by Babs Saul, Kenneth McLennan, and Duncan Saul; Highland reel by Maisio Scott, Rona Wilson, Babs Saul, and Cecily Galiacber; recitations by Misses Gay Paapo and R. Bell, musical duets by Messrs John Berry and Pat Wood, R. Hughes, and H. Wilson; vocal items by Messrs H. Wilson, Ross Hughes, John Berry, and Miss Hazel Batchelor.
