FRENCH INVENTOR’S CLAIM AVIATION CIRCLES INTERESTED. Press Association—By Telegraph —Copyright. LONDON, December 27. (Received December 28, at 11.35 a.m.) The Paris edition of the ‘Chicago Tribune ’ says that great interest Is being shown in aviation circles over the announcement that a French engineer named Raoul Ferrier has invented noninflammable petrol. The invention, which consists of a revised method of distilling raw petroleum, is being investigated by the Academy of Sciences, and if practicable French army aeroplanes will probably utilise it.—Sydney ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
