(Received December 27, at 11 a.m.) The Roy Scout who accompanied the Shackleton expedition to the Antarctic, James Marr, is now a master of arts and a bachelor of science at Aberdeen. He has been appointed zoologist to the Discovery expedition, organised by the Colonial Office. The two ships. Discovery and William Scoresby, in connection with this work, will investigate deep-seas life, and will make scientific surveys of the Antarctic. Mr Marr expects to be absent .about three years.
