BROADCASTING IN AFRICA. JOHANNESBURG, October 14. Broadcasting is in jeopardy m South Africa. In the year just concluded a private broadcasting company in Johannesburg lost more than £4,000, and the Durban (Durban) hrdl (Notal) municipal eolation nearly £9,000. Cape Town station was also run at a_ loss. A conference is being held to discuss nationalisation or alternatively a Government subsidy.
