The Principal’s report stated: I visited Mosgiel and Port Chalmers early this month to consult head masters in regard to the free travel of train pupils next year. 1 find that six pupils in our Technical High School corre from Milton’s district, and ten from Palmerston’s. 1 have delayed writing to the Education Department in regard to such pupils until I know whether tho board intends to carry on the boys’ hostel next year for the sake of boys living in the more distant country districts. Mr Rantin’s evening school class in mathematics on Tuesday and Thursday increased so much by the influx of juniors from tho Telegraph Office that I find it necessary to divide tho class into two parts. Mr Crimp, of our present evening staff, is now teaching the junior division. The evening school session will have concluded by next hoard meeting. Examinations are already arranged for, and will take place early next month. and wiremen’s registration examinations, conducted by division boards, will bo held in tho college on October 29 and 30.
