PHILNARMONIC SOCIETY

The above, society’s concert, to be held in His Majesty’s Theatre this evening, promises to be a most interesting one. An excellent programme has been arranged, including the grand march ‘ Baccanale Indiano,’ hy Gomez: overture, ‘ Julius Csesar,’ by Palchi Sqnarise., ‘Hungarian Rhapsody, No. 2, in D Minor and G. Major,’ by Liszt. The second part will open with the ‘ Fifth Symphony in B Flat Major,’ by Glazownow; ‘Minuet,’ by Beethoven; ‘Pizzicato,’ by Sqnarise; and the overture ‘ Stradella ’ by Flotow. The vocalists are Miss M. Bagar, A.T.C.L., and Mr W. Smith. A limited number of 2s 6d tickets will be sold at the door.
