Tho promoter, Mr Pyle, who is arriving on Monday re Mile Lenglen’s contract, said that before September 15 lie would announce tho names of ten of the greatest tennis players in the world to tour the United States this year. Of tho others nine all are now amateurs.— A. and N.Z. Cable. RANDOLPH ROSE. OSLO, August IC. (Received August 17, at 1 p.ra.) Rose struck a bad patch of form during his stay in Norway. Tie competed on Friday at the international meeting at Oslo, hut was forced to give np during tho 6,000 metres race. Later lie was successful in the 5,000 metres, but no Sunday ho was beaten at Bergen by Harper over 5,000 metres. Rose will not participate in any further meetings in Norway, ami will return to New Zealand via England in a few days.— A. and N.Z. Cable.
