HOT EVADING PAYMENT
DENTIST' CAUSES ARREST OF fIUfISE SATISFACTORY ADJUSTMENT [Per United Press Association.] "WELLINGTON, August 17. Gwendoline M'Dcrmid, a nurse, was arrested at the instance of a dentist, Glover, when she was bonked to sail this afternoon for San Francisco, on a claim of £7 14s 6d for dental noik. Counsel for defendant said she was “ willing to pay for tho work when the plate inis to her satisfaction.” Bhc had not refused, to pay. . After tho plate had been examined by an,independent dentist, who said it could bo adjusted satisfactorily in ten minutes, plaintiff said ho was prepared to make tho alterations before the ship S!l Judgment was given for £6 4s 6d and costs (£2 11s Gd). The magistrate remarked that lie thought a short-service summons would have met the case.
