“NOT MRS M'PHERSON"
THE LADY IN THE COTTAGE. THE MYSTERY 'DEEPENS. LOS ANGELES, August 2. Air Asa Keyes, District-Attorney, lias received an affidavit, from Kenneth Ormistou, formerly tlfe radio operator at the Angelas Temple, which, _ Air Keyes agrees, clears Airs _ Aimee M'Pherson from the allegations in respect of Ormistou and the Carmel seaside cottage affair. Ho states he is willing to drop the whole inquiry as far as Mrs MTlierson is concerned. Ormistou admits freely that ho was the so-called George A f‘ln tyre living at Carmel Cottage during most of _ the month of Airs AlThcrson’s disappearance, but his companion he names as “ Aliss X.” He swears that lie left San Francisco on Alay 19 with this girl. Though the identity of “Aliss X” is so far a mystery, Ormistou declares that, if necessary, she will come forward so that Airs AlTherson may ha spared further embarrassment.
