ADMIRAL’S CONFESSION HIGH LIRE DIVORCE. , . LONDON, August 5. Admiral Sir Guy Gaunt was the coI respondent in Sir Richard Cruise’s successful divorce suit to-day. Sir Richard, who is the King’s oculist, gave evidence that Sir Guy Gaunt knew his wife before their marriage in 1913. His wife went to Kenya in 1924, and Sir Guy was visiting there at the same time. Petitioner had no suspicion of tho relations between tho two, hut in March, 1925. Sir Guy Gaunt told him (Sir Richard) that ho was becoming too fond of his wife, and would go 'abroad. When petitioner returned home after the week-end his wife had gone. Subsequently his wife wrote from British Columbia, where she was with ar Guy Gaunt. [Sir Guy Gaunt was tho subject of some comment last year owing to his prolonged absence from the House of Commons. Later, he resigned his seat. It was. stated at that time that he was suffering from loss of memory, ile made an extended tour of tho East, also visiting Sydney in May, and visited British Columbia on a yachting cruise in March. An Australian by birth, son of the late Judge Gaunt, Sir Guy has had an adventurous career. At Jutland he led the Fifth Division ]of tho Grand Fleet in the Colossus.] -
