'Hvi note circulation is compared with j£142,053.000 n week ago. The proportion of reserves to liabilities is 26.20 p£f cent., com* pared with 25.7 per cent, last week. WHEAT, FLOUR, ETC.

LONDON, August 12

Wheat cargoes arc quiet and declined 9d to Is in sympathy with America. Parcels have a small demand at reduced prices. Liverpool futures: October, 10s Bjd per cental; December (sellers), 10s 6jjd. The spot trade is quiet. Australian (ex ship), 625. Flour is dull. Australian (ex store), 44s to 44s 6d.

BUTTER AND CHEESE.

LONDON, August 12. Butter is quiet and firm. New Zealand choicest salted and unsalted, 1745; exceptionally choice, 17Cs; Australian salted, 168 s to 170 s; unsalted, 1725; Danish, 1765. Cheese is firm. New Zealand colored, 86s; white, 90s; Australian not offering.—A. and N.Z. Gable.

The Bradford tops market shows a bettor tone all round. Low cross-breds are decidedly better. Merinos are unchanged, with slightly more inquiry. 64’s, 49d; GO’s, 45d: 56’s, 32d; 50’s, 25d; 46’s, 21-Jd; 40 s, 20R1. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
