• EXAMINATION RESULTS Tho following lists contain the results for South Canterbury, Otago, aud Southland of the Public Service entrance examination, held on July 5 last. List I. contains the names, arranged in order of merit, of candidates who passed tho examination according to the regulations under tho Public Service Act. List 11. contains the names, arranged in alphabetical order, of all who satisfied the intermediate examination requirements, and indicates further with an asterisk before the name those who passed ‘‘with credit” according to class 8 of the intermediate examinations regulations. Tho number in list 11. indicates tho candidate’s position in order of merit in the Public Service list: —
