The, Citr of Shanghai is due about Saturday irom New York via ports. The Wingatui will leave Bluff on Friday, arrive here on Saturday morning, and sail on Saturday for Auckland via ports. .The Progress is duo to-night from Wellington to load general cargo tor Timaru, Lyttelton,. Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato. The Waikouaiti, from Newcastle and Sydneyj was expected to leave Melbourne to-day with general merchandise for discharge at Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The Waipahi was to leave Auckland to-day for Portland to load for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, She will leave Portland on Friday. The Kahika will sail at 11 p.m. ’tor Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne via ports. Tho'Opiht will leave New Plymouth to-morrow for Dunedin direct, . She is due on Sunday, and should sail on Monday for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. The Kurow will load at Auckland on August 11 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Timaru. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Maori, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.50 a.m. to-day, and passengers and mails connected with the 12.20 p.m. express. TAHITI FROM ’FRISCO. After an uneventful voyage from San Francisco via Papeete and Rarotonga, tho R.M.S. Tahiti arrived at Wellington on Monday. The Tahiti left San Francisco at 2 p.m. on July 14 with passengers and a largo quantity of general merchandise. After clearing Golden Gate tho vessel istood on her course for P.apeete, where she arrived at 6 a.m. on July 24. After discharging and loading, the vessel left Papeete twelve hours after her arrival there for Rarotonga, which was reached at 9.50 a.m. oh July 26. "Fruit was loaded, and the vessel sailed at 11 a.m. the following day for Wellington, strong head winds and rough seas being encountered until arrival. With cargo from West of England ports, the Federal Lino steamer Cumberland left Liverpool on July 31 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Bluff. The Swayn and Hoyt Line American steamer Dewey was despatched from Lns Angeles on July 26 with _ timber, oase oil, and general merchandise from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Timm, and Dunedin. She is duo at Auckland cm August 20. CEDABBANK FOE NAURU. The tramp steamer Cedarha.uk is bound from Bluff for Nauru Island to load another cargo of phosphate for ports not announced. SUEVEY BUOYS OFF SAMOA. The Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department has received the following wireless message, which was broadcasted from Suva-Survey mark buoys are moored north-eastward of the Navulla passage between latitudes 17.44 S. and • 17.57 S. during the period from August 2 to 17. The buoys are unlit.” ________ SCHOONER HULK FOE FILMING. After lying idle in Berry’s Bay for the last five yeans (says a Sydney paper) the hulk of the old five-masted' schooner Inca has been sold to Aus'tralasian Films, Ltd., by Messrs' Auiland and Co., and is to be taken out to sea, set on fire, and blown up' during the iihniug of an Australianmade picture ‘.For the Term of His. Natural Life.’ Masts are to be erected, and about 60ft of the aft part of the vessel will be refitted to represent one of the terrible convict vessels of a hundred years ago. The vessel will then ho fully rigged as a sailing ship, and taken well out to sea, where she will hd set on fire and destroyed by explosives. Some of the scones will be “shot” while the Inca-is in Berry’s Bay, but in order that an unbroken skyline may be shown most of them will be taken outside Sydney Heads.
