EMPIRE UNITY

INFORMATION FOR DOMINIONS AN IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT SPECIAL DEPARTMENT OPENED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, June 13. (Received June 14, at 9.45 a.ra.) A political correspondent states that a most important development concerning foreign affairs between Downing Street and the dominions is being completed. The Foreign Office has opened a special Imperial Affair's Department, conducted by two prominent diplomatic officials, who daily peruse the Foreign Office’s communications and cable from them throughout the Empire the fullest information regarding developments confidentially to each Prime Minister. This departure is the result of continuous agitation in various quarters to have the dominions more fully advised on foreign affairs and the necessity for establishing in some department able to deal with the Foreign Affairs Departments which seine of the dominions have already established here.—Sydney 1 Sun ’ Cable.
