Fisk (manager of Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd.) to conduct twoway wireless telephony tests had been accepted, and if not, why notP The Postmaster-General (Sir W. Mit-chell-Thompson) replied: “I have communicated with the Australian authorities, and I understand that the Australian Amalgamated Wireless Company has not a station capable of undertaking radio-telephonic _ transmission. Therefore the experiments are impracticable. The company offered to receive and record the strength of experimental transmissions from Rugby. I welcomed the offer, but unfortimnatoly these tests have been suspended owing to the coal troubles.’'—A. and N. Cable.
